Hi, I’m Katie.

A wife, mom, author, and Bible teacher learning to find God in the quiet moments of everyday life.

My Story

If you had met me 10 years ago, you would’ve found someone who loved Jesus…but thought that she needed to control everything that “wasn’t big enough” for God to handle.

Through heartbreak, unanswered prayers, hospital rooms, and ordinary mornings around my kitchen table, I began learning something I never expected:

God's presence isn't limited to our mountaintop moments. Sometimes He's closest in the quiet ones.

I’m still a woman who loves Jesus, but I like to think I understand his love more.

A Few Things I Love

Faith

Helping women feel confident opening their Bibles.

Family

Slow mornings, bedtime stories, and cheering from the sidelines.

Creativity

Writing, quilting, and creating resources that invite deeper study.

Hospitality

Coffee, conversation, and making people feel at home.

I don't believe faith has to be loud to be powerful.

My hope is that every book, Bible study, journal entry, and speaking event points women toward a God who is present in both the extraordinary and the ordinary.

Fun Facts about Me

  • Morning coffee before conversation is a necessity

  • You can find me singing and/or dancing during 75% of my day

  • Quilting is one of my favorite creative outlets

  • I usually have my quiet time at 10pm, not 5am

Let’s Stay Connected

Whether you're here because you read my book, found me through the Journal, or simply stumbled across this little corner of the internet, I'm so glad you're here.

At the end of the day, these are my favorite people…and the reason I care so deeply about helping women find hope in the middle of real life.
